Realizing aerial photogrammetry for creating numerical terrain models and large-scale numerical maps using drones, which is also effective for understanding the situation in disaster-stricken areas during emergencies.
In 3D measurement using UAV lasers, it is possible to acquire large volumes of 3D point cloud data of the terrain and other measurement targets in a short time. Since measurements can be taken from the air, it is possible to efficiently measure difficult-to-access locations without the need for human entry. Additionally, by adopting Time of Flight (TOF) lasers, it is now possible to measure the ground surface under vegetation, which was not feasible with photogrammetry. This can be utilized as a powerful tool in tasks such as creating digital terrain models in mountainous areas.
